How about just insert the sampled index into indexes rather than searching index to check overlapped whenever it gets a random variable.
Replacing 'for' loop with 'while' and checking the size of index goes to the sampling_count seems okay.

I meant that std::set doesn't allow duplicate entries, so I thought that removing checking duplication might seem to be okay.

To validate sample-dedup actually works, validate() runs
separated thread from sample-dedup and verifies
two following things.
1. check sample-dedup starts properly.
2. check references of all the chunk objects' in chunk tier
   exists in designated base pool.
This routune repeats for max_valication_cnt times while
sample-dedup is running. If it doesn't raise any fail while the loop,
we can pretend sample-dedup works accurately.
If not, assert() will stop this test.

In case that a reference of chunk object doesn't exist in base pool,
validate() gives a second chance after repairing it (chunk-repair op)
to deal with false-positive reference inconsistency.

SampleDedupWorkerThread didn't actually use any of the facilities on
CrawlerThread and indeed left several of them uninitialized.

Also allows us to remove the CrawlerThread constructor which left
several members uninitialized.

If threadhold count is 2, existing code always returns true
even though reference count is 1 actually  because it additionally
adds one via ++.

Improvement #1:

CapTester.write_test_files() not only creates the test file but also
does the following for every mount object it receives in parameters -

* carefully produces the path for the test file as per parameters
  received
* generates the unique data for each test file on a CephFS mount
* creates a data structure -- list of lists -- that holds all this
  information along with mount object itself for each mount object so
  that tests can be conducted at a later point

Untangle this mess of code by splitting this method into 3 separate
methods -

1. To produce the path for test file (as per user's need).
2. To generate the data that will be written into the test file.
3. To actually create the test file on CephFS.

Improvement #2:

Remove the internal data structure used for testing -- self.test_set --
and use separate class attributes to store all the data required for
testing instead of a tuple. This serves two purpose -

One, it makes it easy to manipulate all this data from helper methods
and during debugging session, especially while using a PDB session.

And two, make it impossible to have multiple mounts/multiple "test sets"
within same CapTester instance for the sake of simplicity. Users can
instead create two instances of CapTester instances if needed.

before this change, we increment the refcount when constructing
`cct` instrusive_ptr, but nobody owns this smart pointer. also,
`CephContext` 's constructor set its refcount to 1. so, when the
test finishes, the refcount is 1, and this leads to a leakage of
the `CephContext` instance, this not only annoys ASan, and defeats
the purpose of 14d878c.

so, in this change, we do not increase the refcount when
creating cct.

before this change, in test_util.cc, we increment the refcount of
when constructing it. but at that moment, nobody really owns it.
also, `CephContext` 's refcount is set to 1 in its constructor.
so, we should not do this. otherwise, the created `CephContext`
is leaked as LeakSanitizer rightly points out:

before this change, we allocate memory chunks with specified
size using `new []`, but we never free them. when testing with

before this change, we increment the refcount when constructing
`cct` instrusive_ptr, but nobody owns this smart pointer. also,
`CephContext` 's constructor set its refcount to 1. so, when the
test finishes, the refcount is 1, and this leads to a leakage of
the `CephContext` instance. and LeakSanitizer points this out:

in BlueFS.test_shared_alloc, we keep the return value of
`fs.get_perf_counters()`, and deference it after umounting the fs,
but the `PerfCounters*` pointer returned from `fs.get_perf_counters()`
is destroyed in `BlueFS::_shutdown_logger()` which is in turn called
by `BlueFS::umount()`. so ASan points this out:

in this change, instead of keeping `logger` across the `umount()` and
`mount()` calls, we get another instance of `logger`, query it for
the perf counter that we are interested, and compare the value
to see if it is unchanged.

this should address the ASan warning above.
