Flow Inventory is a Power Platform ToolBox tool for browsing accessible Power Automate cloud flows and understanding their connector usage in the active environment.
- Loads every accessible cloud flow returned by the active ToolBox connection.
- Uses the Power Platform API bridge when available and falls back to Dataverse workflow records when it is not.
- Analyzes triggers, actions, connectors, solutions, status, and flow dates.
- Provides local search and filters for status, connector, solution, connector classification, metadata status, and modified date when the selected provider supplies those fields.
- Supports stable sorting, connector usage summaries, and keyboard-accessible flow details.
- Preserves completed results when a later request fails or a scan is cancelled.
- Bounds concurrent enrichment requests and ignores stale results after refreshes or connection changes.
All platform requests use bridges supplied by Power Platform ToolBox. The tool does not handle access tokens directly, call Power Platform services with browser fetch, or intentionally persist inventory records.
Flow visibility is limited to the active identity. The tool does not retrieve run history, action parameters, authentication data, or tenant-wide connector data. Treat flow and connector names as potentially confidential when sharing screenshots or logs.
When window.powerplatformAPI is available, Flow Inventory resolves the active environment, retrieves cloud flows, analyzes flow actions, and enriches observed connectors. Inventory, analysis, and metadata failures are isolated where possible so usable results remain visible.
When the Power Platform API bridge is unavailable, the tool reads modern cloud-flow workflow records through the active Dataverse connection. Fields that cannot be supplied reliably by this provider are omitted from the interface instead of showing permanent unknown or unresolved values.

npm run package:checknpm run release:check runs the complete release gate. npm run finalize-package also creates an npm shrinkwrap for a release candidate.
The official validator checks the public manifest and repository URLs anonymously.
The production build is written to dist/:

The build uses relative asset paths and an IIFE bundle suitable for the ToolBox local-file loader. A verification script confirms the manifest paths, entry asset, and script order after every build.
To test locally:
- Run
npm run build. - Open Power Platform ToolBox.
- Use the local/custom tool installation workflow.
- Select the generated
distdirectory. - Open Flow Inventory with no connection, a Power Platform API-capable connection, and a Dataverse-only connection.
- Confirm no inventory request occurs without an active connection.
- Confirm refresh follows connection changes and supersedes older work.
- Exercise search, every visible filter, Clear filters, sorting, details, cancellation, and retry.
- Confirm Flow results and Connector usage remain visually separate.
- Confirm Dataverse compatibility omits unavailable metadata controls and values.
- Verify keyboard navigation, focus restoration, light theme, and dark theme.
- Sanitize all screenshots and logs before sharing them.
This public repository contains the complete maintainable source, tests, and release tooling for Flow Inventory Manager. AVI-SPL maintains its canonical internal copy in the Power Platform ToolBox monorepo.
