Summary of Changes

Hello @Jintao-Huang, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request implements a temporary fix for the continuous integration (CI) pipeline by explicitly setting a version constraint for the transformers library. This change ensures that the CI environment installs a compatible version of the dependency, thereby resolving build failures caused by newer, potentially breaking, changes in the transformers library.

Highlights

  • CI Dependency Management: A version constraint for the transformers library (transformers<5.0) was added to the CI container test script to prevent potential compatibility issues during package installation.

🧠 New Feature in Public Preview: You can now enable Memory to help Gemini Code Assist learn from your team's feedback. This makes future code reviews more consistent and personalized to your project's style. Click here to enable Memory in your admin console.

Changelog

Code Review

This pull request introduces a temporary fix in the CI pipeline by pinning the transformers package to versions older than 5.0. This is achieved by adding a pip install command within a conditional block in the CI script. While this likely resolves an immediate compatibility issue, it creates a divergence between the dependencies defined in the project's requirements files and those used in this specific CI job. My review highlights this inconsistency and suggests a more robust approach to dependency management for better maintainability.

Pinning the transformers version here causes the dependencies for this CI job to differ from those specified in requirements/framework.txt (which states transformers>=4.33). This can lead to inconsistencies between local development environments and CI builds, making it more difficult to reproduce and debug issues. For better dependency management and consistency across all environments, it would be preferable to update the constraint directly in requirements/framework.txt to transformers>=4.33,<5.0.
