I'm Min — a CS student, product builder, and creative technologist based in the Bay Area.
I build complete, production-grade software: full-stack web applications, AI agents, embedded systems, and everything in between. My engineering is shaped by a simple belief — software should feel human. Not just functional. Not just correct. Expressive, purposeful, and alive.
Before I wrote my first line of code, I was a musician. Vocals, trumpet, jazz ensemble, marching band, Thai Youth Orchestra auditions, and performing as a TIJC 2020 youth band trumpet soloist. Music taught me what software school doesn't: taste, tension, timing, and the instinct to know when something is done. That ear for quality shows up in everything I build.
Right now I'm targeting a UC transfer in Computer Science (EECS track), maintaining a 4.0 GPA, and shipping products that real people actually use.
Most CS students can follow a tutorial. I build products.
There's a difference between writing code for an assignment and architecting a system that solves a real problem for a real user — with auth, a database, a clean API, proper error handling, and a UI that doesn't feel like it was generated by a template engine. I've done that, repeatedly, across domains I care about: logistics, clean energy, accessibility, and wellness tech.
I also understand the business side. Years of freelance work with real clients — spa owners, booking platforms, operational workflows — gave me something most junior engineers lack: I know how to translate a messy human problem into a system that actually works. I've sat across from a business owner who said "this is too complicated" and rebuilt the thing from scratch until they said "oh, that's it."
TypeScriptReactPythonFastAPIVapi Voice AILeafletTanStack Router
Nocti is a voice-first AI co-pilot for truck drivers and logistics carriers. In a 24-hour sprint, I built a full-stack product with a conversational interface that surfaces real-time shipping rates, carrier comparisons, and regulatory guidance — through voice or chat. The backend uses Vapi for live voice AI with structured data extraction, a FastAPI service layer, and a React frontend with interactive Leaflet maps for live routing context.
Winning Best Entrepreneurship Hack means the judges didn't just see a working demo — they saw a product with a real market, a real user, and a real reason to exist.
PythonFastAPINext.jsTypeScriptPostgreSQLRedisGoogle Solar APINREL PVWattsMapboxReportLabDocker
A professional-grade solar design platform built as a modern alternative to OpenSolar and PVsyst. Give it an address — it returns a full rooftop analysis, three auto-generated system designs (Max Production / Best Payback / Lowest Cost), a financial model with ROI, NPV, and 25-year projections, and a downloadable branded PDF proposal.
The architecture is production-serious: async FastAPI + PostgreSQL + Redis caching (Google Solar API responses cached 30 days), a pure-function PV calculation engine, JWT auth with per-user data isolation, and a Mapbox satellite map that renders every individual panel as a correctly rotated, azimuth-aligned rectangle. This isn't a tutorial project.
JavaScriptAI AgentsDeveloper Tooling
A black-box recorder and replay engine for AI agent runs. Captures full decision traces — tool calls, reasoning steps, state transitions — and makes them auditable and replayable. Built for developers who need to debug LLM-based agents without guessing what happened.
Computer VisionYOLOMobilePython
Live accessibility routing powered by phone camera. Uses computer vision to detect hazards — stairs, uneven surfaces, obstacles — and reroutes wheelchair users in real time. Built for a Bay Area hackathon demo with YOLO-based hazard detection and a 3D scene reconstruction layer.
ESP32C++ArduinoMQ-2 SensorTFT DisplayCompanion Web App
A smart kitchen monitoring device with real-time gas and smoke detection, an animated graphical TFT interface, RTC-based special date alerts, and a companion web app for remote monitoring and pantry management. Built as a gift — which meant the bar for polish was higher than any school project.
PythonTkinter
A desktop scheduling application that replaced a fully manual workflow at a real spa business. Uses a least-hours-worked + FIFO priority algorithm to auto-assign therapists to appointments. The owner uses it every day.
ConnectED Student Resource Club · Co-Founder & Technical Director (2024 – Present)
Built the club's web platform and operational infrastructure from the ground up. ConnectED connects BCC students to internships, workshops, and academic resources — bridging the gap that community college students often fall through.
Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) · Honors Society Member (2024 – Present)
Economics Club · Vice President (2024 – Present)
Freelance Web Developer & Digital Consultant (2023 – Present)
Designed and launched production websites for 7 luxury spa and wellness businesses across the Bay Area. Work spans custom layouts, branding, SEO, Google Workspace setup, booking platform integration (Booker, Fresha, Vagaro, Square), and ongoing technical support. Several clients came with no digital presence at all — I built their entire customer-facing operation.
This work gave me something a CS degree can't: I know what it's like to sit in a business, watch how real users interact with software, and understand why clean UX is not optional.
Before I became serious about software, I was already serious about music.
I grew up singing, competing, and performing — vocals, trumpet, marching band, jazz ensemble, Thai Youth Orchestra auditions, and performing as a TIJC 2020 Youth Band Trumpet Soloist. Music gave me discipline, taste, and the ability to understand rhythm, tension, and flow. I know when something is almost right and when it's actually finished.
That instinct carries into how I build software. I want my work to feel polished, expressive, and human — not just correct.
Currently open to internship opportunities for Summer 2025 / 2026. I build quickly, take quality seriously, and care about what the thing is actually for.
