🚨 Severity: MEDIUM
💡 Vulnerability: Missing timeout configuration in a subprocess.run call executing an external validation script (SKILL_VALIDATOR).
🎯 Impact: If the validation script hangs or is stuck in an infinite loop, the parent process blocks indefinitely, leading to resource exhaustion or a Denial of Service (DoS).
🔧 Fix: Added a timeout=30 parameter to the subprocess.run call and a try/except block to gracefully handle subprocess.TimeoutExpired. Also added explicit error reporting to sys.stderr when validation fails or times out.
✅ Verification: Verified via syntax check (python3 -m py_compile) and running the full test suite to ensure no regressions were introduced.
