Summary

  • replace the Kitesurf evaluation branch's AGPL-3.0 license text with the standard Apache License 2.0
  • synchronize the English and Chinese README badges and license sections
  • update npm, Python, and Rust package metadata to Apache-2.0
  • retain the existing upstream attributions and third-party license texts

Why

Keep the maintained Kitesurf evaluation branch aligned with the project's move to the permissive Apache-2.0 license.

Impact

The current Kitesurf branch source will be offered under Apache-2.0 after this change is merged. The licenses retained in THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md continue to apply to their respective upstream materials.

Historical Git tags and GitHub releases are versioned snapshots and are not rewritten by this pull request.

Validation

  • git diff --check
  • confirmed no AGPL references remain in the changed branch
  • parsed npm package metadata and Python/Rust TOML manifests
  • ran cargo metadata --no-deps
  • confirmed the license text matches the standard Apache-2.0 text used by the main-branch PR
