Fastfetch's configuration and artwork stay at the repository root because they map directly to the live Fastfetch directory.

The initial Git baseline intentionally preserves the current known-working state before any cleanup or consolidation.
The active Fastfetch presentation is a Post-Apollo adaptation of SoupCat-Py/fastfetch-configs, especially its mac.jsonc configuration and macintosh.txt artwork. The Post-Apollo version changes colors, formatting, selected output behavior, media presentation, and branding while preserving a substantial part of the upstream structure.
