+# Lenis.js PR Review - Fixes Applied
+
+## Summary of Changes
+
+This document outlines the fixes applied to address the three main concerns raised during the PR review for adding Lenis.js smooth scrolling to the DevPath project.
+

+
+## Issue #1: Duplicated Initialization Code ✅ FIXED
+
+**Problem:** Lenis initialization code was duplicated across multiple HTML templates (404.html, 405.html, 500.html) instead of using a centralized approach.
+
+**Solution:**
+- **Removed** all inline `<script>` blocks containing Lenis initialization from error page templates
+- **Centralized** all initialization logic in `/static/script.js` (the global JavaScript file)
+- **All templates now only include:**
+  ```html

+  <script src="/static/script.js"></script>
+  ```
+
+**Files Modified:**
+- `templates/404.html` - Removed inline initialization
+- `templates/405.html` - Removed inline initialization  
+- `templates/500.html` - Removed inline initialization
+- `static/script.js` - Contains single source of truth for Lenis initialization

+## Issue #2: CDN Dependency Without Fallback ⚠️ ADDRESSED
+
+**Problem:** The PR introduced an external CDN dependency without a fallback strategy.
+
+**Current Solution:**
+Since this is a Flask project (not Vite/npm-based), we've implemented:
+- Graceful degradation with a CDN check in `script.js`
+- Console warning if Lenis fails to load
+- Native browser scrolling as automatic fallback
+
+**Code in script.js:**

+**Alternative Solution (If Converting to npm/Vite):**

+   ```

+3. Bundle with your build tool (Vite, Webpack, etc.)

+## Issue #3: Accessibility - No prefers-reduced-motion Check ✅ FIXED
+
+**Problem:** Smooth scrolling did not respect users who have `prefers-reduced-motion` enabled in their system settings, which is an accessibility violation.
+
+**Solution:**
+Added comprehensive motion preference detection that:
+- Checks user's system motion preferences on load
+- Prevents Lenis initialization if reduced motion is preferred
+- Listens for preference changes during the session
+- Destroys Lenis instance if user enables reduced motion mid-session
+
+**Code Added to script.js:**

+- ✅ Dynamic - responds to system preference changes in real-time
+

+## Additional Improvements Made
+
+### 1. Better Error Handling
+- Added console warning when Lenis CDN fails to load
+- Graceful fallback to native scrolling
+
+### 2. ES5 Compatibility
+- Changed arrow functions to regular functions for broader browser support
+- Changed `const`/`let` to `var` for consistency with existing codebase
+
+### 3. Code Comments
+- Added clear documentation explaining each check and initialization step
+- Improved maintainability for future contributors
