Agent-Zero

Operational writeup and build journal for the local Agent Zero environment maintained under the KnightBotAI umbrella.

This repository is the project memory for the current local-first build:

• what was attempted
• what failed
• what was fixed
• what is currently true
• what still needs work

Purpose

The local Agent Zero environment went through multiple rebuilds, model experiments, launcher rewrites, and policy hardening passes. This repo exists so the work stops living only in chat history and scattered local files.

This is not only a changelog. It is the operating record for:

• architecture decisions
• major milestones
• failure modes and lessons learned
• current runtime layout
• next recommended improvements

• chat_model: local vision model via vLLM
• util_model: separate local Heretic text model via Ollama

Repo Conventions

Scope

This repo currently tracks the deployment and hardening story of the local Agent Zero stack. It does not yet mirror the upstream Agent Zero source tree.

That is intentional. Right now the highest-value artifact is an accurate operating record.
