This simple program is designed to run on the command line just like other UNIX utilities like iostat run.  mongostat spits out various metrics at a interval as X per second.

Usage: mongostat [options]

Options:
  -h, --help           show this help message and exit
  --hostname=HOSTNAME  hostname to connect to
  --port=PORT          port to connect to

$>./mongostat --port=10000 --host=fred.foo.com
