Inconsistent audio test signal levels

When using AmigaTestKit 1.21 recently I noticed that the output signal level of the sine and square wave test tones varied somewhat from test to test (for example, cycling back to the sine wave test it would sometimes produce a noticeably different amplitude from before). I can't be sure it's not a hardware issue with this Amiga, but did wonder about the possibility that the module player is changing the volume of hardware audio channels and leaving them there when ATK switches to a test tone mode. Just confirming that I see the same behaviour on an A500 as well as the A1200 I was testing with earlier (sorry not to mention that in the initial report). Neither machine has any known audio issues. It's somewhat reproducible:

1. Go to Audio test.
2. Wait until the fourth round of the music intro where there's a brief pause/breakdown, and hit F5 to switch to the 500 Hz test tone. The level will likely be somewhat low or uneven between L and R.
3. Cycle back around to the 500 Hz test tone and it will likely be at full volume.
