Summary
- Simplified CI configuration
- Reduced Node.js test matrix to active LTS versions (16, 18, 20)
- Removed legacy io.js and EOL Node versions
Motivation
Prepare the package for future releases by modernizing CI and reducing maintenance overhead.
Compatibility
No changes to runtime behavior or public APIs.
Testing
- npm test on Node.js 16, 18, and 20 via GitHub Actions
