BuildConfig.VERSION_NAME is used for crash notes, but neither app ever shows it to the person using it. That makes bug reports harder than they need to be — the bug report form currently has to tell people to dig through Android Settings to find it.
What to do
Add a quiet version line at the bottom of the parent app's appearance/settings screen and the kid app's settings screen. Plain text, small — it should read as a footnote, not a feature.

The value is BuildConfig.VERSION_NAME (see ParentApp.kt for the import pattern). Note that a build also carries a flavor suffix — -local or -cloud — which is genuinely useful in a bug report, so show it as-is rather than trimming it.

Both apps show something like OpenScreenTime Parent 0.2.0-local, and the version hint in .github/ISSUE_TEMPLATE/bug_report.yml is updated to point at it instead of Android Settings.
