Introduction The Diffusion Study Group of the ISMRM has been developing projects to identify “best practices in dMRI”. One of these projects focuses on image preprocessing of diffusion MRI data.
After completing a survey, we’re now starting a data-driven exploration on the impact of preprocessing on variability of our dMRI analyses. We have acquired project-specific data that is designed to evaluate the performance of image preprocessing pipelines. The data is now available for download on the following website:
If you’re interested in diffusion MRI data and using or developing image preprocessing tools, then we need your help. Please download the data and preprocess the DWI images with your typical image preprocessing pipeline. Your contribution to the project will help us to understand how a lack of standardization of image preprocessing across researchers might impact the reproducibility of our analyses.
All details on how to access the data and specific instructions on how to contribute are listed on the aforementioned website, but please don’t hesitate to reach out to us with any questions or comments.
