Summary by Gitar

  • Live refresh:
    • Added 10-second auto-refresh polling to WifiPanel and BluetoothPanel while the panel is open
    • Interval is cleared on unmount in the effect cleanup, and error resets after a successful load

This will update automatically on new commits.

Walkthrough

The Wi-Fi and Bluetooth settings panels now refresh data every 10 seconds while open. Their tests cover refresh behavior, polling cleanup after unmount, and rendering in StrictMode.

Both panels fetch data on mount and every 10 seconds. Cleanup stops polling on unmount, and successful loads clear errors. Tests cover refresh, unmount cleanup, and StrictMode mounting.

Lead review PASS on 0125032 (card tsk-4owb7b). Delta over #4011 resets mounted.current = true at effect start in both panels; the StrictMode render tests were red on base and ship here. Merging this supersedes #4011. Waits for CI + a CodeRabbit artifact on the head.

Prevent older Bluetooth loads from replacing newer state.

When StrictMode restarts this effect, mounted.current = true also reactivates a request from the cleaned-up effect. If that request finishes after the new request, it can replace newer device data or restore an old error. The 10-second interval creates the same race when a load takes more than 10 seconds. Use an effect-local cleanup flag and a request sequence check before applying each result or error. (react.dev)

Prevent older Wi-Fi loads from replacing newer state.

When StrictMode restarts this effect, resetting mounted.current lets a request from the cleaned-up effect update the new effect’s state. Polls can also overlap when a load takes more than 10 seconds. If the older request finishes last, the panel can show outdated access points or restore an old error. Ignore results from cleaned-up effects and superseded loads. (react.dev)

CodeRabbit's two Minors on 0125032 (stale/overlapping load can overwrite newer state) are verified and carded as follow-up tsk-w4432q (effect-local active flag + request sequence), held until this merges. Non-blocking per the severity rule: the next 10 s poll corrects the state.
