[Feature Request] Localization support (translations and regional vehicle features)

Hi,

First of all, thank you for building Tracktor – it's a great project and very useful.

While using the application, I noticed that some features appear to be tailored to specific regional workflows. For example, the "Insurance" section stores insurance policies, while in countries like Denmark vehicle insurance is typically continuous and not something users actively track in an app.

Instead, periodic vehicle inspections are a legal requirement. For example in Denmark:

• Passenger cars: first inspection after 4 years
• Afterwards every 2 years

Because vehicle regulations differ between countries, it might be useful to support localization or configurable modules so users can adapt Tracktor to their region.

Additionally, it would be great if the interface could support multiple languages through translation files (for example: en.json, da.json, etc.).

I would be happy to help contribute a Danish translation and assist with testing localization if this feature is considered.

There is a way to translate it to danish, here is the docs for it, but basically, you just have to translate the messages/en.json file.

Great to hear that translations are already supported via messages/en.json. I’ll take a closer look and see if I can contribute a Danish translation.

My original suggestion was also about supporting region-specific configurations (e.g. inspections, insurance rules, etc.), since these vary quite a bit between countries. That could be a useful addition in the future.

I find this very useful as well. But I believe it may have been largely overtaken by events — flagging what's landed since
March in case it closes most of the request.

Regional differences in what's tracked. The separate "Insurance" and
"PUCC" sections have been replaced by a generic Compliance module with types:
insurance, emissions, roadworthiness/safety inspection, registration/road tax,
and "other" with a free-text name. The source comment cites EU MOT, TÜV,
NZ WoF, India PUCC and US smog checks as the intended coverage. Insurance is
now just one optional type rather than a fixed section, so the Danish case of
"insurance is continuous and not tracked" is handled by simply not creating
those records. The whole module can also be switched off in
Settings → Features, alongside Fuel, Maintenance and Reminders.

Inspection intervals. Denmark's every-2-years cadence is expressible today:
set the compliance record to renew yearly with an interval of 2. What isn't
derived automatically is the first inspection date from the vehicle's age
(the "after 4 years" part) — that's entered manually.

Translations. The message-format setup you suggested exists: catalogs live
in i18n/messages/<locale>.json with en.json as the reference, and there are
now 12 locales. The process is documented in docs/i18n.md. @thalf, if the
offer of a Danish translation still stands, da.json would be a
straightforward PR — several languages have landed that way, and I did the
European Portuguese one recently (#240) if a worked example helps.

Not suggesting how to triage this — just that the gap may be much smaller than
when it was opened.
