  • Raise the package and Ruff target to Python 3.12, removing Python 3.11 from supported classifiers.
  • Update the CI test job to run on Python 3.12 so it matches the new project requirement.
  • Switch the local ty hook to Astral's official ty-pre-commit hook with isolated, all-extras resolution and a prek override for global UV_FROZEN=1.
  • Tighten typing around open kwargs and compression stats so the official ty hook runs cleanly.
