Obi-Wan Importer is a Windows plug-in for Autodesk Maya 2027.2 that imports levels, environments, props, characters, rigs, textures, and character animations from an extracted Xbox copy of Star Wars: Obi-Wan.
The importer does not include game files. You must provide your own legally obtained game data.
- Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit
- Autodesk Maya 2027.2
- An extracted Xbox disc for Star Wars: Obi-Wan
This build targets Maya API 20270200 and is not binary-compatible with Maya 2024. Maya 2024 users should use the 0.1.0 release.
- Close Maya.
- Run
ObiWanImporter-0.1.1-Windows-Maya2027.2-Setup.exe. - Start Maya 2027.2.
- Open Obi-Wan Importer > Open Importer from Maya's main menu.
The installer uses your personal Maya modules folder and does not require administrator access.
- Close Maya.
- Copy
ObiWanImporter.modintoDocuments\maya\modules. - Copy the
ObiWanImporterfolder beside that file. - Start Maya 2027.2.
The final layout should be:
Documents\maya\modules\ObiWanImporter.mod
Documents\maya\modules\ObiWanImporter\plug-ins\ObiWanImporter.mll
- Open Obi-Wan Importer > Open Importer.
- Choose the root folder of your extracted disc.
- Select a level.
- Choose the content you want included.
- Click IMPORT WORLD / LEVEL.
Use Browse / import any entity or character to import an individual prop or character. Character animations can be selected, applied, played, stopped, and cleared from the animation pane.
- Campaign, bonus, training, multiplayer, demo, and cutscene level browsing
- Level geometry, materials, textures, baked lighting, sky, fog, water, lights, and environmental effects
- Placed props and grounded non-player characters
- Character meshes, skeletons, skinning, material variants, and animations
- Independent prop and character browser
- Review-camera selection, automatic clipping, and level framing
- Optional replacement of a previously imported copy of the same level
Use Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Obi-Wan Importer, or use the Uninstall Obi-Wan Importer shortcut in the Start menu.
