Heads-up for installs

• @thatopen/components is now a peer dependency of components-front instead of being bundled inside it. With strict yarn or pnpm, add @thatopen/components explicitly if you install front alone. The front bundle drops from 747 kB to 231 kB, and the Hoverer now uses your installed core instead of a stale copy (#804, #808).

• FastModelPicker rewritten to a single pass: consistent picks while the camera moves (#775), correct points under a reversed depth buffer, about 6 MB less GPU memory.
• three r185 and later: components-front no longer triggers a remote import at load (#809).
• Node ESM can import both packages (core now has an exports map).
• Clipper onBeforeDelete / onAfterDelete fire at the right time, once per plane (#799).
• Disposer destroys every child, not every second one.
• EdgeProjector forwards the AbortSignal and restores the renderer on abort (#786); time-slice check and culler docs fixed (#787, #788).

Smaller bundles

• The ES build now ships one file per module and declares its side effects, so an app that only visualizes no longer bundles web-ifc (about 4.6 MB down to 0.8 MB in a Vite app). The worker went from 3.5 MB to 1.3 MB.

Fixes

• Tiles no longer starve while the camera moves, and update(true) now resolves only when every loaded model has finished its pass (#300).
• three r185 and later: tile world matrices stay correct, including after moving a model (#309).
• Highlight ids are reclaimed on reset, and id 65536 is rejected instead of silently clearing the highlight (#299).
• Disposing a model releases its tiles from the worker memory budget (#303).
• The importer writes IFC type names that survive minification.
• Grids: missing placement or GlobalId no longer drops grids; unsupported axis curves are reported (#263, #264).
• getWorker() requests the worker at the exact path the package ships.
• Geometry deduplication no longer merges distinct geometries (#237).
