Virtual displays add a system monitor and can alter an existing display arrangement. Add
virtualDisplay.enabled, defaultfalse, withOPEN_COMPUTER_USE_VIRTUAL_DISPLAY_ENABLEDas an explicit environment override. When disabled, native MCP omits
window_placement, JS guidance omitswindowPlacement, and covered-window hints stop recommending parking. Stale calls are rejected before app lookup and at the display-creation boundary. Existing restoration and turn/connection cleanup remain available. Windows/Linux omit the unsupported parameter. Standalone plugin installs include the new JS configuration dependency.Enable with
ocu config set virtualDisplay.enabled true; reconnect MCP clients to refresh cached tool schemas. Invalid environment values disable creation.Validation:
make check-docsandgit diff --checkpassed.make check-reporeports governance files already missing from main; no unrelated files or gates were changed.
