A game page in the library

A calm dark interface on a near-black background with soft spots of warm light. Fluent structure, rounded corners, one signature accent instead of Steam's light blue. The theme doesn't change any Steam text, only the look.

• Game logo above the trailer in the store and an Apple-style trailer player.
• Cinematic store game page: trailers play muted behind the logo, price and buttons over the whole window, with a media gallery and viewer (the classic layout is one setting away).
• Menus that unfold like cards with their items rising in; the library's Add a Game is a floating + button.
• Motion throughout: a line-reveal loading curtain as Steam starts, page changes behind a soft curtain, achievement bars that fill on a spring, letters that fold, split or stand up like dominoes in page titles.
• Living backdrops: an aurora on store search, a dark veil on the wishlist, both in the colors of your preset.
• Four color presets: Aika, Hello Bert, Greeny and Rose Ash.
• Screenshots grouped by game in the profile: a carousel shelf per game.
• Library covers that tilt toward the cursor in 3D, and floating library icons; holding a cover can sink it, send rings of light from the press point or charge an accent line round its edge.
• A redesigned friends list: a profile card, Discord-like status badges, now-playing game cards with the game's art, lobbies as squad capsules, offline friends as a grid of faces, Recent Chats as conversation cards, friend requests as business cards, a background pattern (halftone wave or blinking squares); the chat window and group chats in the same look.
• Preloader presets for the "Sign in to Steam" window: Classic, Terminal, Horizon, Orbits, Aurora, Frame and Glitter warp, all in your preset's colors.
• Cart and checkout in the theme look: the cart, purchase review and receipt, the launch option picker.
• Privacy blur for the wallet balance in the account menu until you hover it.
• Top bar tabs centered (can be moved back to the left), or a compact header: menus, tabs and account buttons in one line.
• The page address as a small capsule over store and community pages, with a dot-matrix "heart pulse" while a page loads.
• Show or hide the wallet balance, the address, What's New, the "Add shelf" row and the Steam news button.
• Header wordmark: the classic "Aika", calligraphy, or アイカ in two brush styles.
• Narrow windows stay tidy: the View / Friends / Games / Help menus turn into icons when the tabs need the room.
• Popular plugins in the theme look: How Long To Beat, Extendium (its button sits in the address capsule), Recent Chats, Easy Restart, and the Steam Inventory Helper extension; the Millennium settings pages, library manager and Quick CSS editor too.
• Settings in English and Russian, following the Steam language.
• Performance setting: Full by default; Balanced keeps the look but drops moving elements on and around items (the light following the cursor, shimmers, glares, the 3D cover tilt); Low turns off every Aika animation and heavy effect (blur, glass, WebGL) and keeps the plain Fluent look for weaker machines.

Installation

From Steambrew (recommended)

Aika is in the official Millennium theme store: steambrew.app/theme/uV8M1eg45Hh662blPuyD.

1. Install Millennium.
2. On the Aika page, press Copy Theme ID.
3. In Steam: the Steam menu (top left) → Millennium → Themes → Install a theme, then paste the ID.
4. Pick Aika in the theme list. If theme scripts are disabled, enable them.

Manual

1. Install Millennium.
2. Download Aika-<version>.zip from Releases.
3. Extract the Aika folder into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\millennium\themes\.
4. Steam → Millennium → Themes → Aika. If theme scripts are disabled, enable them.

Theme settings (the gear next to Aika in Millennium; in Russian when Steam is in Russian): Main — color preset, top bar tab position, compact header (the menus, tabs and account buttons in one line), the header wordmark (classic, calligraphy, or アイカ in two brush styles), the sign-in preloader; Elements — show or hide the wallet balance, the address capsule over store and community pages, What's New, the "Add shelf" row and the Steam news button; Friends list — the background pattern and its opacity, offline friends (faces / list), the friend search (magnifier / command line), the list layout; Animations — performance (Full / Balanced / Low), store game page layout (Cinematic / Classic), library covers (3D tilt / Lift / Zoom), cover press (Press / Ripple / Charge / Off), cursor glow and its radius; Advanced — privacy blur of the wallet balance (or name and balance) until hovered, notification wordmark and opacity; Color set — custom colors, set on the Colors page right below.

Licenses

The Inter, Onest, Geist Mono, Fraunces, Unbounded, UnifrakturMaguntia, Shojumaru, Great Vibes, Yuji Syuku and Yuji Mai fonts (the last three as subsets with only the wordmark letters) are licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1 (assets/fonts/OFL-*.txt). The notification liquid glass is hyalite, MIT (js/vendor/LICENSE-hyalite.txt). The aurora and dark veil backdrops port the shaders of React Bits (MIT + Commons Clause); several motions follow ideas from React Bits and Motion examples; the page loading pulse follows the idea of the Dot Matrix "Heart Pulse" loader (our own code).
