Tailwind v4 upgrade breaks incompatible v3 PostCSS config
High Severity
Bumping
tailwindcssto v4 without migrating the project's configuration will break the build entirely. Tailwind v4 no longer exports a PostCSS plugin from thetailwindcsspackage (it moved to@tailwindcss/postcss), sopostcss.config.jsreferencingtailwindcssas a plugin will fail. Additionally, globals.cssuses v3 directives (@tailwind base/components/utilities), andtailwind.config.tsuses v3-only features likerequire("tailwindcss-animate"),contentarray,darkMode, and the<alpha-value>color syntax — none of which are compatible with v4 without a compatibility layer.Reviewed by Cursor Bugbot for commit 5f1eb95.
