Adds an OSS-Fuzz integration for AegisLink — an open-source, end-to-end-encrypted, metadata-minimizing messenger (mobile + desktop).

What it fuzzes

The untrusted-input parsers — the functions that turn attacker-controlled bytes into structured data:

  • parseIdentityQR, parseGroupInviteLink, universalToScheme — scanned QR / pasted invite/deep links
  • parseMultiPayload, parseGroupPostMarker, parseLocationMessage — message bodies forwarded by the relay
  • unpadInnerPayload — the decrypted Double Ratchet inner-payload deserializer (bytes a malicious authenticated peer fully controls before JSON.parse)

Their contract is to fail soft (return null / typed not-a-match); an uncaught throw is a remotely triggerable crash. The targets and their seed corpora come from the project's in-tree fuzz harness (mobile/src/fuzz/), which esbuild bundles to standalone CommonJS with no React-Native/Expo runtime dependency, so they build and run in the OSS-Fuzz container.

Notes

  • Build skips native postinstall (npm ci --ignore-scripts) — the fuzz targets are pure logic.
  • I've verified locally that the bundle builds and all harnesses load and run; I could not run the full infra/helper.py build_fuzzers here, so happy to iterate if the build needs adjustment.
  • I understand OSS-Fuzz's acceptance criteria favor projects with significant usage / criticality. AegisLink is an early-stage but fully open security project (cryptographic core, post-quantum hybrid, sealed-sender). If it doesn't yet meet the bar, guidance on what would qualify it is welcome.

AegisLink is an open-source, end-to-end-encrypted, metadata-minimizing
messenger (Signal protocol family: X3DH + Double Ratchet, hybrid post-quantum
PQXDH, sealed-sender transport). Repo: https://github.com/gabinotech22-cmyk/AegisLink (GPL/AGPL).

This integration fuzzes the untrusted-input parsers — scanned QR, pasted invite
links, relay message bodies, and the decrypted Double Ratchet inner-payload
deserializer — whose contract is to fail soft; an uncaught throw is a remotely
triggerable crash. JavaScript/Jazzer.js; targets and seed corpora come from the
repo's in-tree fuzz harness.
