Hi Gary, you might be interested in the Android APK installer, too. Full install. Use Garbochess completely offline due to local Android installation. Mind: requires minimum Android 4.4.2 (API-19) See https://github.com/OMerkel/Garbochess-JS/releases/tag/release_apk_fxos_6.0.1 Feel free to pull the latest changes as well. |

Well, risk to have conflicts with the base branch is still very low. So merging should not run into any conflicts. Whensoever this is done. If I can actively support in any way then let me know. What Christmas present exactly is missing at this time? As an option beforehand: If you like the changes then feel free to get them from OMerkel/Garbochess-JS. If you just want to play a few games using my newer SVGs or get the Android APK then feel free to follow the README.md in OMerkel/Garbochess-JS. Merry Christmas and a prosperous year 2017. |

Ported the Javascript code to Web Application environments like available on FirefoxOS, Android, iOS. Created the SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) chess set graphics. Making Garbochess resolution aware and offline installable.
When running Firefox (independent of the OS or device class in use) the easiest way to install the Garbochess-JS will be via the Firefox Marketplace now: https://marketplace.firefox.com/app/garbochess
On iOS like iPad/iPod with latest updates installed simply use regular Safari Browser and visit http://omerkel.github.io/Garbochess-JS/oliver . Now select the option to save the application to the home screen in Safari. An appropriate Garbochess icon will show up on home screen. The application will run in fullscreen without any browser framing the Garbochess application. In contrast if just setting a bookmark the browser will still build a frame surrounding the running Garbochess application.
In the Firefox Marketplace listing you can find screenshots from FirefoxOS mobile phone and from an Android Tablet.
