What Finamp is

• A music player for Jellyfin.
  Specifically, a modern, opinionated, volunteer driven FOSS cross-platform music player made for the Jellyfin Ecosystem written in Flutter.
• Tries to balance a exhaustive set of features while keeping the User experience straight forward and minimal without sacrificing Design.
• An attempt at a Jellyfin client with which music "just works". Our goal is to support any relevant Jellyfin features, have a beautiful and sensible design, have good default settings, and an adequate amount of customization options.
• It's written Finamp, not FinAmp and also not FinAMP. Please, people!!!

What Finamp is not

• A fully featured Jellyfin frontend. Specifically, video-related features are not supported at all, and neither is server administration.
  Finamp is purely a music/audio client.
• A fully-customizable client. Our goal is not to allow changing how Finamp looks completely, but to allow tweaking some behavior or parts of the UI to cater to different types of music listeners.

Prerequisites

Since Finamp is a client for the Jellyfin server, you need:

• MUSIC! You need to bring your own music (that you already have, or by buying from your favorite artists via platforms like Bandcamp, Qobuz, iTunes, or ripping from physical discs). Finamp only plays your music.
• An instance of Jellyfin you host yourself or have access to
• A compatible device, though Finamp has clients for many platforms (iOS, Android, Windows, Linux, even ARM based systems).
  Some notable exceptions: Android TV (and other TV OSs), Wear OS and watchOS, Android Automotive

Main Features

• Browse all your libraries, or quickly jump into the music via the customizable home tab
• Stream any files music files supported by Jellyfin, either original or transcoded (for reduced data usage and improved compatibility)
• Download your music for offline listening (original or transcoded)
  • You can download individual tracks, albums, playlists, entire artists and genres, all your favorites, and more!
  • Downloads are kept in sync with your server
• Lyrics support
• Configure certain behavior and looks to suit your taste, with curated defaults
• Quick Connect (login & authorize other devices)
• Volume Normalization ("Replay Gain")
• Remote control Finamp via other clients ("Play On")
• Android Auto & Apple CarPlay Integration
• Multi Platform support (Android, iOS, Linux, Mac, Windows)
• Translated to over 40 Languages by the Community
