I got the app to work almost perfectly both with Retro Player and Spotify. Aside from lagging while skipping songs and the fact sometimes it won't update the cover while doing so, I could never get it to play after pausing the song, with this I mean that the pause button works but the play button doesn't. Other info you might find useful is that I had Broadcast Receiver on and in Media Control Method Retro Player only worked with Audio Manager API while Spotify seemed to work with most of them. Don't know if you plan on working on these bugs but I thought I could let you know. Great app btw.
