sizeof(indirect_symbol_bindings) /sizeof(indirect_symbol_bindings[0])
Always return 1 which make the replacement code unreachable:
indirect_symbol_bindings[i] = cur->rebindings[j].replacement;
The crash is eliminated because the functionality is eliminated.
