Crashes and closes randomly

i have the USA Version of the game as instructed and set directory path to .cue i have SCPH1001.BIN next alongside the default Openbios file. Everything running with native settings the game will intermittently crash during fights i also notice an occassional stutter as it happens aswell. i have provided a crash log below.

Tested v2.0 (build v0.3.1-alpha-745-g20ae6db9, Aug 26 2026) — the crash
persists. Some improvement in how far combos can go before it happens
(hit a 10-hit / 642-total-damage combo this time before crashing, vs
~250-450 before), but same underlying fault signature:

Identical to my previous reports on v1.0. New data point from this build's
ram_peeks section confirms the return address memory is literally all
zeros:

So it's a genuine null-pointer jump, not garbage data being misread as one.

Also notable: the epc (exception PC right before the crash) differs
between runs — 0x800296F8 on my first crash, 0x80033108 on this one.
Same failure mode, but triggered from different call sites, which suggests
this might be a more systemic issue (e.g. a callback/function table that's
generically under-populated or corrupted) rather than a single bad code path.

Happy to test further builds or provide more instrumented logs if useful.
Attaching full logs from this v2.0 run for comparison.

Also worth noting: this looks like the same underlying issue reported in
#2 by other users (different BIOS setups — real SCPH1001 and OpenBIOS —
same crash-during-gameplay pattern). Since you mentioned you can't
reproduce it on your own machine, might be worth consolidating
investigation across both threads.

Happy to help narrow down what's different about our setups if useful.

Since fixes are made through trial and error and many tests,

I have a vague idea that this crashing only occurs in Tekken.

The rest of the community is also constantly updating the runtime, where I fixed one of the problems related to CDDA in games that contain music tracks, since Tekken has several .bin files, but with time everything will improve...

But I can confirm that I tested it today and it really crashed...
It didn't last even 1 minute.

as others have said the crashing still persists i havent had the chance to test this build but something that might be worth considering might be adding a Vulkan Renderer since i believe it could be an issue with openGL on the latest drivers/windows im not entirely sure but if its possible add a Vulkan Renderer and test if the crashes stop

Thank you for the new build! i had 1 crash at the first start, after choosing Arcade Mode, thereafter i started again and played 4 Stages without any crash, longer than any time before.

It improved a lot, but I had a crash during the fight.

Game crashed very soon after starting a match in Practice Mode. The game spat out about 8 freeze dump files and 1 crash file. I don't wanna overwhelm this thread right now so I think it's just safe to say this recompile needs some work before being stable. But I will post links to all the files if it helps.

My guess is that with so many other reports of this recompile crashing, it has more to do with the recompile than any one persons system specs.

Well, it doesn't crash in 'Practice Mode' like it did before. That's good. But it looks like you somehow managed to change the games normal speed to permanent slow motion. So, that's bad. Looks like we need another update soon.

The game still plays in "slow motion" on my PC. Maybe this is a problem on my PC? I don't know. But it's a no go for me.
