I thought we could begin the process of refactoring a little into modules to clean up the code a little bit.
I had to change the eslint config to allow for file extensions. I looked up the style rule and it defaults to no extensions allowed but they seem to think that really consistency is the issue, not whether or not you use them. And for some reason the code doesn't work without the file extensions.
