An OpenClaw skill adaptation of the Complex Problem Solving (CPS) methodology by Jorge Ordovás Oromendía.
Integrates strategic analysis, systems thinking, and structured creativity into a cohesive 7-phase methodology — from problem classification through implementation and monitoring.
This skill is a faithful adaptation of joobid/CPS-skills, originally designed for Claude Code and Cowork. The methodology, references, and intellectual structure are entirely Jorge's work. This repo reformats the skill for OpenClaw's agent framework while preserving the original content intact.
| Phase | Name | Key Tools |
|---|---|---|
| 0 | Problem Classification | Cynefin (Snowden) |
| 1 | Rigorous Definition | Nardone (Reductor, SIR), CATWOE, IS/IS NOT, JTBD |
| 2 | Root Cause Analysis | 5 Whys, Ishikawa, Logic Trees, Leverage Points, Wardley |
| 3 | Bias Audit | Kahneman (S1/S2), Munger (mental models), Fallacies |
| 4 | Solution Generation | Nardone (How to Worsen, Climber), De Bono, Creativity |
| 5 | Strategic Evaluation | Rumelt (Kernel), Evaluation tests, Pre-mortem |
| 6 | Implementation | 8D, Team of Teams, Storytelling, Tactical Empathy |
| 7 | Monitoring & Adjustment | Matrioshka (Nardone), Adaptive cycles, Systemic feedback |
Three depth levels: Quick (5-10 min), Standard (15-25 min), Complete (30-60 min document).
Copy the complex-problem-solving/ folder to your OpenClaw skills directory:
cp -r complex-problem-solving/ ~/.openclaw/workspace/skills/Then restart your OpenClaw gateway or reload skills.
The skill activates when you ask your agent to analyze a complex problem, diagnose a situation, design a strategy, evaluate alternatives, or resolve persistent challenges. You can also trigger it directly with "CPS" or "problem solving".
Works in Spanish and English.
