Summary

Live usage refreshes inserted a status row above the dashboard and shifted the cards and session grid. Reserve a stable status slot, keeping the prior verified usage visible during refresh.

Also integrate pending layout work: collapsible Overview that preserves user state during live updates, usable Analytics space in short windows, readable secondary text, and default columns ordered Name → estimated cost → total tokens → model → repository → started. Existing saved column selections stay intact. Add pending product/design context and the dated comparison/roadmap index, and bump all five version manifests to v0.8.24.

Evidence

Before: each background refresh moved the dashboard and grid. After: the event-driven browser regression holds accounting requests pending and compares dashboard/header/footer geometry before, during two updates, and after completion at desktop and narrow widths. Short-window checks cover keyboard disclosure controls, visible cost/token columns, and text contrast. All six required repository checks pass (547 frontend tests, 32 script tests, and the full Rust suite). Pinned baseline regeneration and the final visual comparison both pass 97/97 browser tests, with 85 valid baseline files. Native Tauri/WebKit validation in an isolated profile confirms 1,101 sessions, ready history, and stable Overview/grid/header/footer geometry across 12 live appends in a narrow window. The older broad harness stops on its assumption that default columns overflow horizontally; the new compact defaults fit, so its later detail checks were not rerun.
