Summary

  • add ABI-compatible Wi-Fi and Thread credential holders for BLE commissioning
  • add BleNetworkCommissioningParameters and MatterControllerNetworkCommissioning
  • supply credentials through Matter CommissioningParameters before pairing, avoiding the default WiFiCredentialsNeeded/ThreadCredentialsNeeded Not Implemented path
  • bound and clear native credential buffers and reject missing or ambiguous credential input before commissioning
  • update ControllerApp to collect transient Wi-Fi credentials for factory-reset BLE devices
  • advance package version to 0.1.0-preview.9 and the ABI baseline to checksum-pinned preview.8

Related issue

Addresses the factory-reset network provisioning gap reported against Matter.Windows.Controller 0.1.0-preview.8, where BLE and PASE succeeded but commissioning stopped at DevicePairingDelegate::WiFiCredentialsNeeded with CHIP_ERROR_NOT_IMPLEMENTED.

Testing

  • x64 and ARM64 native WinRT component builds
  • x64 and ARM64 Release ControllerApp builds against the local preview.9 package
  • WinMD compatibility against released preview.8
  • x64/ARM64 WinMD equivalence
  • exact native export validation

Physical-device validation remains required for Wi-Fi and Thread commissioning, repeated reset-and-pair cycles, invalid credentials, and interruption cleanup.

Add ABI-compatible Wi-Fi and Thread credential types and a network commissioning runtime class so factory-reset devices can receive operational network configuration after BLE PASE.
