🚨 Severity: HIGH
💡 Vulnerability: Command-line password exposure in mysqldump command in src/codomyrmex/database_management/backup/backup_manager.py. Passing a password via -p to mysqldump allows the password to be visible in plaintext to anyone who runs ps, top, or views system logs while the command is executing.
🎯 Impact: An attacker with low privileges could view the database password, potentially leading to unauthorized access.
🔧 Fix: Removed the -p argument from the mysqldump command. Instead, the password is provided via the MYSQL_PWD environment variable by explicitly passing env=env to subprocess.run(), keeping the password hidden from process listings.
✅ Verification: Ran uv run ruff check and uv run pytest src/codomyrmex/tests/unit/database_management/ and ensured that all tests pass.
