[Medium risk] Fixes dub quality scoring to use the selected track's language. The PR appears safe to merge based on the reviewed changes and prior findings. SummaryQC now scores the selected language track using its saved text and identity-matched timing. Regeneration reserves rows needed by later explicit IDs, with regression coverage for that ordering. Fixed in 3b4e708. Segment identity synchronization now consumes each saved source row at most once, so a partial-ID request cannot reuse another line’s identity, source text, or speaker. The same synchronization is preflighted on an unpublished metadata projection before backend resolution or task admission. Conflicting requests return 409 while the prior WAV bytes, on-disk job JSON, and in-memory metadata remain unchanged. Two regression cases failed against the previous head (false identity conflict; overwritten saved WAV). The final focused suites pass: 90 tests, with actual WAV rendering/preservation, valid partial IDs, selected-track QC, timing plans, and engine-selection controls. Tests ran with an empty Hugging Face cache, offline flags, and outbound networking denied. CI for the new head is still pending. |

Read-only verification of the active owner aggregate #2585 at e87cba0 confirms that the legacy compatibility concern remains. An actual owned SQLite Controls on the aggregate with explicit source IDs, a uniquely identified single legacy cue, and a complete SmartFit cue identity set reach the normal The owner's tests deliberately assert rejection of ambiguous multi-cue timing and document the regeneration requirement. I have not changed the owner branch or claimed the no-manual-migration concern resolved. A safe migration/fallback contract still needs the maintainer's decision; blindly using ordinal order after edits/reordering would restore incorrect timing ownership. |

Thanks for the report and the work on this, @rudycelekli. The problem in #2574 is fixed on |
Summary
Closes #2574.
QC recognizes the selected language audio but compares it against the last-generated language text, falsely flagging correct multilingual dubs.
New renders snapshot source timing by the stable IDs persisted during generation. QC restores the chosen track's source times by identity and applies its Smart Fit cues or stretch-video plan before scoring; stretch mapping handles reordered lines independently. Ambiguous legacy snapshots lacking IDs return a typed 409 before recognition and request regeneration. Single-line ownership with one matching text ID and complete unique-ID Smart Fit cues under selected-track metadata remain usable; jobs with no source snapshot retain existing fallback. Stale plans are ignored for other strategies. QC annotations preserve saved job text, source times, and track metadata.
The relevant dubbing documentation is synchronized with the behavior.
Testing
87 focused ordinary-import tests passed across the QC route, scoring, timing strategy, and fitted-subtitle suites. Ten initial timing cases failed before the timing followup; eight reorder cases then reproduced missing snapshot identities. The exact published producer expression omits IDs; the corrected native producer/synchronization control retains IDs across later reordering and legacy requests. Route controls cover ordered/reordered requested/default selection, valid non-first selection, Smart Fit/stretch/strict-slot timing, missing plans, and ownership-proven legacy timing versus a pre-ASR409 for ambiguous identity-free snapshots. No real ASR/TTS inference is claimed.
Native runs use HF_HUB_OFFLINE=1 and an empty model cache. No model downloads, hardware inference, or full backend/Electron validation are claimed. The shared native environment reuses the existing Torch/torchaudio pair with restored API dependencies; hosted backend/platform checks remain pending.
Type
Checklist
QC scores recognized audio against the selected track’s text and source timing, including Smart Fit cues and stretch-video plans. Ambiguous legacy timing identities return HTTP 409 before recognition, which prevents false flags when a different language was generated last. Hosted backend and platform checks remain pending; review whether the identity validation covers legacy snapshots as intended.
Regeneration identity follow-up
When the request and prior row omit identity, synchronization fills it only from the complete validated current-render manifest. Explicit request IDs and existing stable IDs take precedence. The saved translation map and source snapshot now share that identity, so regeneration does not repeat the legacy QC error. Missing or malformed manifests cannot invent historical identity.
Two synchronization-to-QC regressions fail before this repair. Independent native replay now passes 174 tests across QC, fitting, subtitle and cue-markup controls, with offline model access and no real ASR/TTS inference. Signed current head: 75e21a3. Full current-head hosted checks remain pending.
Collision review followup
Regeneration reserves explicit and retained IDs before assigning manifest fallbacks. Colliding text keys are rejected before publishing segment/track metadata, and QC requires complete unique matching source identity before ASR (with the documented complete Smart Fit and single-line exceptions). Ambiguous mixed-ID requests need explicit unique IDs. Eight additional regressions failed before; the independently replayed affected gate now passes 174 tests. The final metadata staging block was checked; this does not establish a whole-render rollback transaction. Hosted checks must finish on the current revision.
