I believe this has been discussed by the dev here: #260 (comment)

This issue can be moved to a discussion. I'd also like to join in as unofficial community, but a Linux userbase would prefer discord or matrix than telegram group.

And as the dev has stated, I believe it would stay fine as unofficial community than an official one.
