description DAVP (Decentralized Asset Verification Protocol) is a simple protocol for creating and verifying cryptographic proofs about digital content.

Introduction

These docs explain:

  • what DAVP is and why it exists
  • how proofs work and what they contain
  • how verification works
  • how nodes replicate proofs without a blockchain

DAVP is intentionally minimal. There is no global consensus, no mining, and no authority deciding what is “true”.
