Summary

This reusable workflow scans dependencies through a vendor whose account, billing, and OAuth access were all switched off org-wide, so the scan can no longer run.

It is not a required status check anywhere, so removing it changes no merge gate.

This change deletes the workflow and its documentation. Callers pin it by commit SHA, so the removal does not break an existing pin, and the one remaining caller in the organization is removed in a sibling change, datum-cloud/backstage#75.

Test plan

  • Documentation index no longer lists the removed workflow
  • No remaining workflow in this repository references the removed one

Snyk is switched off across the org (account disabled, billing
cancelled, OAuth grants removed), so the shared workflow calling
Snyk can no longer run a scan. No caller treats it as a required
status check, so removing it changes no merge gate.

Callers pin this workflow by commit SHA, so deleting it from main
does not break an existing pin. An org-wide code search found one
remaining caller in datum-cloud/backstage, whose sibling removal is
already open.

Verified via GitHub code search that datum-cloud/backstage is the only caller of this reusable workflow, and its removal is already open in datum-cloud/backstage#75, so this deletion is safe. The removal is clean, it drops the workflow file plus its docs page and the index entry with no leftover references. Commit message and PR description clearly explain the Snyk decommission and the caller check. Good to go.
