Hello,
I would like to request an option to hide BatteryBot's percentage icon in
the status bar while keeping the notification active.
I use BatteryBot Pro because it is very useful for several things:
battery health information, temperature and voltage information,
custom alarms, logs, and the persistent notification.
However, I do not need the additional percentage icon in the status bar.
My Android/MIUI system already shows a battery icon and percentage in the
top-right status bar, and I cannot fully disable the system battery icon.
As a result, BatteryBot creates a duplicate battery percentage display.
What I would like is this:
- keep the BatteryBot notification active in the notification shade
- keep alarms and monitoring features working normally
- keep access to health, voltage, temperature, logs, and time remaining
- but hide the BatteryBot status bar percentage icon completely
Many other battery apps allow the notification to remain active while
hiding the status bar icon, so this would help avoid redundant icons on
systems where the built-in battery indicator cannot be disabled.
I noticed that BatteryBot is described as having an optional notification
or status bar icon behavior, but I could not find a clear setting for this
in the current app UI on my device. If this feature already exists, it may
need to be made easier to find, especially on newer Android/MIUI versions.
Thank you for maintaining BatteryBot. It is still very useful, especially
because it is lightweight, open source, and available through F-Droid.
