Summary

The note confirming the payslips added ("Added 3 payslips: …") stayed until the next pick. It now goes by itself after five seconds.

  • Dissolving: it fades out over 0.6 s. Then the room it took closes, its height, padding and margin easing to zero over 0.25 s, so the report below rises smoothly instead of jumping.
  • Staying readable: while the pointer or the focus is on it, it waits another five seconds.
  • Reduced motion: with reduced motion preferred, it simply hides.
  • A new pick: picking files again, or a new note shown during a fade, cancels the fade, so a stale fade never hides the new note.

Type of change

  • New feature (non-breaking)

Checklist

  • Commits follow the commit convention
  • Tests added or updated for the change
  • All tests and linters pass locally
  • Documentation updated (README, docs/, comments) where behavior changed
  • CHANGELOG.md updated under Unreleased for user-visible changes

Notes for the reviewer

  • Test: the "adds payslips to a report" e2e test now also waits for the note to hide, within 8 s.
  • Local checks: the web unit tests and the 13 e2e tests in Chromium pass. Go code is unchanged.

It folds away, its height and opacity easing to nothing, so that the
report rises smoothly instead of jumping. It stays while the pointer or
the focus is on it, and with reduced motion it simply goes.
It fades out over 0.6 s, then its height eases to nothing, instead of
both at once. A note shown again ends the fading of the one before.
