The radio bridge could report healthy while JS8Call was unable to start or capture usable audio. This restores real KiwiSDR-to-JS8 decoding, pairs the waterfall with its audio session, forwards ordinary and directed traffic, and reports actual decoder readiness. Radio is explicitly receive-only.
Finalizes v1.2.0, including the mobile workspaces and performance/storage foundation already merged in #347. Updates the changelog, stable release notes, upgrade instructions and frontend package version.
Validation: radio patch CI passed all frontend and nine Python-service jobs. Local gates passed 318 frontend and 40 radio tests, Docker image builds, an exact-text recording replay, real on-air JS8 reception, desktop/phone waterfall rendering, decoder-failure supervision and production authentication. Read-only deployment checks confirm V007, successful latest retention/compression runs, bounded logs and stable Kafka consumers. Final release commit checks must pass before merge/publication.
Upgrade: rebuild radio, frontend, backend and space-pulse; start PostgreSQL with the updated preload configuration before migration startup. Keep existing volumes. Full upgrade details and evidence are in RELEASE_NOTES.md and agent_docs/tasks/2026-10-07-release-gates-v1-2-0.md.
