Embed the existing Windows ICO in lassie.exe and the Qt window icon in the application, and install Linux desktop/icon resources with source builds. Preserve the native macOS ICNS bundle configuration. Require Qt 6.8.1 or newer on Windows and update the Windows build/release pins to avoid the Qt 6.8.0 system-font substitution bug. Add focused startup checks for icons, desktop identity, and native font-family selection. Validated the source patch with Qt 6.8.1 and 6.11.1 Release builds, 3/3 CTests, and native staged/CPack payload checks. Published code/resource content is identical; the Qt minimum-version note is applied to the updated build guide.
