Two improvements: 1. Added Quick Start section right after the table of contents. When people first visit this page they want to try something immediately, not read 10 paragraphs about why open source is important. Now there are copy-paste install commands for the top tools right at the top. 2. Added Amp and OpenAI Codex to the Cursor alternatives section. Both are popular open-source terminal coding tools that was missing from the list.

What I changed
1. Added Quick Start section
When someone first visit this page, they usually want to try something right away. But the README start with a long section about "Why Open Source Matters" before showing any actual tools.
I add a Quick Start section right after the table of contents with copy-paste install commands for the most popular tools (Aider, OpenCode, Cline, Goose). Now visitor can get started in 30 seconds without scrolling through the entire page.
2. Added missing tools to alternatives list
Two notable open-source tools was missing from the "Cursor Open Source Alternatives" section:
Both have gained a lot of traction recently and should be on this list.
