help to set twitter feed

I am trying to re-set the Twitter feed for the RESPECT! site, but need some help:

changed 'default Twitter query' to: from:100RESPECT_NYC but not seeing output on site.

Help note explains:

Note: Once you change this from the default, you'll need to configure each of the oAuth consumer/access key/secret settings. Please refer to http://dev.twitter.com for more information on creating an application and acquiring these settings.

Could you help us to understand what needs to be added and where?

I'm not a twitter expert but...

1. I think you need to start by having a twitter account for the purpose.
2. Then, in that twitter account, you auto retweet the hashtags of interest.
3. Once you have that working to your satisfaction (it tweets all the tweets you want to see), you enter the details for that account into the settings - I don't think you'll want to filter it, at least not initially.

You could just put in the twitter account first and worry about the auto retweets after you see your tweets coming through.

We have a twitter account: the 100RESPECT_NYC account referenced above. I couldn't find how to enter all the oAuth information referenced at http://dev.twitter.com. Didn't you set up this integration for your site? It's something about getting the right tokens....

Follow the instructions in the above link. You have to create the twitter app and click on the "test oauth" button to see all the required strings. I just tried this with my account and it worked fine.

I can only get as far as step 4.

On the details page of your new application click the Create my access token button at the bottom.

there is no such button... :(

I think it was under 'API Keys' - I now have a "Regenerate my access
token" button there.

Once you have that, use the "Test OAuth" button to get a list of the
strings you need to put in.
