Updates @playwright/test from 1.61.1 to 1.63.0

Release notes

Sourced from @playwright/test's releases.

v1.63.0

🔒 Test locks

Tests that access a shared resource — an external service, a global account setting — can now declare a named lock. Tests that share a lock name never run concurrently, across files, workers and projects, while everything else keeps running in parallel:

test('update user settings', { lock: 'user-settings' }, async ({ page }) => {
  // never runs at the same time as other tests holding 'user-settings'
});

A test can hold multiple locks, and test.describe() accepts a lock for the whole group. Learn more about test locks.

🪟 Locate across frames

page.frameLocator() and frame.frameLocator() called without a selector search in any frame of the subtree, so you no longer need to locate the iframe first:

// Finds the button in any frame on the page.
await page.frameLocator().getByRole('button').click();

The rest of the locator resolves inside a single frame, just like a regular locator, and an error is thrown when it matches elements in several frames.

👁️ Visible-only locators

New locator.visible() returns a locator that matches only visible elements. It is the recommended replacement for the :visible CSS pseudo-class:

await page.locator('button').visible().click();

🧾 Step params and subtitles

Steps now carry structured data for reporters. Playwright API steps report the target locator and call arguments, and test.step() accepts subtitle and params options for your own steps:

await test.step('Login', async () => {
  // ...
}, { subtitle: 'as admin', params: { user: 'admin' } });

Reporters receive them via testStep.subtitle and testStep.params. For Playwright API

Updates @tanstack/ai from 0.53.0 to 0.57.0

Release notes

Sourced from @tanstack/ai's releases.

@tanstack/ai@0.57.0

Minor Changes

  • #1419 04bfd8c - Add decide() and TypeSafe Jev evaluate adapters.

    Callers await one decide({ adapter, state, questions }) call. Questions use choice(), score(), and boolean(). Answers sit on the result (value, probability, confidence). Usage sits on result.meta.

    Jev transports:

    • @tanstack/ai-typesafe (typesafeDecider)
    • @tanstack/ai-openrouter (openRouterDecider)
    • @tanstack/ai-vercel-gateway (vercelGatewayDecider)
    • @tanstack/ai-cloudflare (cloudflareDecider)
  • #1390 254ab5f - Add a generateVoice() activity for creating a voice, and refresh the ElevenLabs model lists.

    generateVoice() creates a reusable voice and returns voice ids that generateSpeech({ voice }) accepts. Providers create voices two ways, and the activity covers both: design one from a text prompt, or derive one from referenceAudio. Pass a name to keep the voice in the provider's library, and read saved on each returned voice to see what happened. Every returned voice also carries status, which is 'ready' on every adapter today. Comes with VoiceAdapter / BaseVoiceAdapter for adapter authors, the voice:request:* and voice:usage devtools events, and a voice_generation OpenTelemetry operation name. See Voice Creation.

    listVoices() reads an account voice catalog back, for when you did not store the id generateVoice() returned. It filters by origin (premade, generated, cloned, professional). listVoices is an optional method on TTSAdapter rather than VoiceAdapter, because voice is a generateSpeech() option and that is where the id gets used. Only providers with a per-account catalog implement it; where the voice list is fixed the package publishes it directly (GeminiTTSVoices from @tanstack/ai-gemini, the OpenAITTSVoice union from @tanstack/ai-openai), which beats a network call, and calling listVoices() on such an adapter throws and points at those exports. elevenlabsSpeech implements it against GET /v1/voices.

    elevenlabsVoiceDesign() implements voice creation on eleven_ttv_v3 and eleven_multilingual_ttv_v2. ElevenLabs' design-then-create two-step is hidden inside the adapter. Only eleven_ttv_v3 accepts referenceAudio, and it is a design reference rather than a straight clone: a prompt is still required, and modelOptions.promptStrength balances the description against the recording.

    ElevenLabs models. @elevenlabs/elevenlabs-js moves to ^2.68.0 and @elevenlabs/client to ^1.25.0. The bump is what makes the new music and transcription ids type-check: 2.44 pinned the music request to modelId?: 'music_v1' and typed speech-to-text as a two-member 'scribe_v2' | 'scribe_v1' union. Adds eleven_v3_conversational (TTS), scribe_v2_medical (Scribe), and music_v2_5 and music_v2 (music). eleven_turbo_v2, eleven_turbo_v2_5, eleven_monolingual_v1, scribe_v1, and music_v1 are still accepted and are commented as deprecated in model-meta.ts. ELEVENLABS_AUDIO_MODELS is now pinned to the SDK's own MusicModelId | SfxModelId with satisfies, so an id the SDK drops fails the build instead of the request.

    Breaking: eleven_text_to_sound_v1 is removed from ELEVENLABS_AUDIO_MODELS. ElevenLabs dropped it from the catalog and from the SDK's SfxModelId, so the adapter can no longer send it. Use eleven_text_to_sound_v2.

0.56.0

Minor Changes

  • #1396 f60f736 - Add dialogue turns and timing alignment to the text-to-speech contract.

    generateSpeech() takes turns (an array of { text, voice }) in place of text for a multi-voice script, and timestamps: true to ask for timings. TTSResult gains alignment (per character or per word, with alignment.unit saying which, all times in seconds) and segments (one per turn for dialogue, one per sentence for a single voice). Use alignment rather than duration to find where speech stops.

    Both are adapter capabilities, declared on adapter.capabilities as maxSpeakers and timestamps. The activity rejects a request the adapter cannot serve before it reaches the provider, so too many speakers is a typed error rather than a provider 422.

    Wired through three adapters:

    • byteplusSpeech (Seed Audio 1.0): up to 3 voices, mapped to references plus a role-structured text_prompt. timestamps sets audio_config.enable_subtitle, and the subtitle block becomes word alignment and sentence segments, converted from milliseconds to seconds.
    • elevenlabsSpeech: up to 10 voices. Picks between textToSpeech.convert, textToSpeech.convertWithTimestamps, textToDialogue.convert and textToDialogue.convertWithTimestamps from turns and timestamps. Dialogue also returns per-turn segments with the voice that spoke each one.
    • geminiSpeech: up to 2 voices, building multiSpeakerVoiceConfig and the labelled prompt from the turns.

    Every addition is optional, so existing adapters and callers are unaffected.

@tauri-apps/cli v2.11.5

[2.11.5]

Security fixes

  • 5a87bab12 Record the app version in the trusted comment of updater signatures, so a signed artifact is bound to the version it was released as.

    An update endpoint response is not signed, and the signature only covers the downloaded artifact, so the announced version on its own does not prove which release the url and signature point at. minisign covers the trusted comment with its global signature, which lets the updater plugin compare the two and reject a response that pairs a version number with a different release. Enable requireSignedVersion in the updater plugin configuration to enforce this.

    tauri build fills the version in automatically, and tauri plugin add updater now enables requireSignedVersion for the project it is adding the plugin to. tauri signer sign gains an --app-version flag for signing updater artifacts by hand, and warns when it is omitted.

plugin-react@6.1.1

Add compiler.logDiagnostics option

Recoverable React Compiler diagnostics are no longer logged by default. Set compiler.logDiagnostics to true to log them through Vite. Fatal diagnostics are always logged and fail the transform.

Respect environment sourcemap option for React Compiler transform when builder.sharedPlugins is enabled (#1439)

The React Compiler transform was using the top-level sourcemap option instead of the environment sourcemap option. This caused a problem when the experimental builder.sharedPlugins was enabled.

plugin-react@6.1.0

Add experimental native React Compiler support (#1419)

Add experimental native React Compiler support.

You can use it by installing oxc-transform-react and enabling it via the compiler option:

npm install -D oxc-transform-react
import { defineConfig } from 'vite'
import react from '@vitejs/plugin-react'
export default defineConfig({
plugins: [
react({ compiler: true })
]
})

plugin-react@6.0.5

Fixed the react compiler preset filter to be linear (#1353)

The improved filter in v6.0.3 was non-linear and caused a performance regression (#1349). The filter was changed to be linear to avoid that.
