Summary

  • add pnpm release:promote -- --version <version> with read-only Candidate and latest preview
  • add explicit interactive apply that rejects token/OIDC automation credentials, revalidates after confirmation, moves latest in dependency order, and safely resumes valid partial progress
  • share exact Release Set dependency validation across packed artifacts, Candidate Smoke, and Promotion
  • print the manual GitHub Release Finalize procedure after Promotion passes

Validation

  • pnpm typecheck
  • pnpm lint
  • Promotion and Candidate Smoke focused tests: 25 passed
  • all workspace suites pass when release-tools runs serially: 328 passed, 1 expected Docker-only skip

Test environment note

The aggregate pnpm test run hit the pre-existing 5-second timeout in packed-cli-version.test.ts under parallel release-tools load. That test passes in isolation, and the complete release-tools suite passes serially with 92 tests and 1 expected Docker-only skip.
