Just a quick note to let you know that MAGDA now supports DAWproject import and export.
MAGDA is a free and open-source DAW built with JUCE and Tracktion Engine:

Also, I was wondering if there are any plans to extend the format with abstractions for drum machines, samplers, or multisample instruments. While implementing support, that felt like one of the areas where a higher-level representation could be useful.
I’d be happy to contribute to the discussion or implementation if that’s something being considered.
