macOS is great at apps. It is worse at windows.
If you live in Cursor, VS Code, terminals, and browsers, the Dock only shows one icon per app. Mission Control is a full-screen interruption. Cmd+Tab switches apps, not the document you actually want.
TaskBar64 is a classic Windows taskbar for Mac: one button per window, with the title on it, sitting next to the Dock — not instead of it.

The app is also known as BadCode64 Window Manager in Applications (bundle id com.badcode64.taskbar64).
TaskBar64 lists and activates other apps’ windows. macOS requires System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility. No keylogging, no network required for the taskbar itself.

Is this open source?
No. It is closed-source freeware. You can use it for free; the source is not published.
Does it replace the Dock?
No. It sits around a bottom Dock.
Cmd+Tab vs ⌥Tab?
macOS Cmd+Tab is app switching. TaskBar64 uses Option+Tab (⌥Tab) like Windows Alt+Tab, for windows.
Privacy?
The Accessibility permission is only used to read window titles and bring windows forward. No account, no telemetry required.
TaskBar64 is distributed as a closed-source freeware application.
