Week 1: 2021-09-07

  • Introduce the course
  • Study notebooks in lectures/L01_linear_algebra
  • No assignments handed out
  • "Homework" is to watch the precourse videos on installing python + jupyter and a text editor of your choice (either VS code or Pycharm) and get your system set up and ready to go for next week. There are 6 videos in total covering (vscode, pycharm) x (windows, mac, linux) -- just watch and work through the one that applies to you. If you aren't sure whether to use Pycharm or VS code, we reccomend VS Code

Week 2: 2021-09-14

  • Covered the probability lectures by Tom
  • Materials stored in lectures/L02_probability
  • No assignments

Week 3: 2021-09-21

  • Covered the probability (and introduction to statistics) lectures by Tom
  • Materials posted in lectures/L03_probabilty_statistics
  • No assignments

Week 4: 2021-09-28

  • Covered various probability distributions
  • Materials posted in lectures/L04_probability_distributions
  • Assignment posted on linear algebra and probability -- See announcements.
