🛠️ Setup Instructions

To get Foodgram running on your local machine, follow these steps:

1. Clone the Repository

git clone https://github.com/aviinnassh/foodgram.git
cd foodgram

2. Create a Virtual Environment

It is recommended to use a virtual environment to manage dependencies.

python -m venv venv

3. Activate the Virtual Environment

  • Windows:
    venv\Scripts\activate
  • Mac/Linux:
    source venv/bin/activate

4. Install Dependencies

pip install -r requirements.txt

5. Setup the Database

Run migrations to create the database schema.

python manage.py migrate

6. Run the Development Server

python manage.py runserver

Open your web browser and navigate to http://127.0.0.1:8000/ to start exploring Foodgram!
